32mm Round Ribbed Half Dome Tube Insert

These 32mm round ribbed tube inserts are designed to provide a clean, secure finish for hollow round tubes and pipes. The tops of the inserts are a shallow dome, so they tend to get used as end caps for finishing off and sealing tube, rather than as feet - as the full dome or angled options listed within this same section, are more suitable as a foot with a more pronounced dome not wearing down as quickly. 

The other advantage with these half dome inserts, is they just offer a bit more in the way of details on the finish, than you'd get with an otherwise bog standard flat insert with the slightly 'half' domed top, giving a more aesthetic appearance.  If it's more of an angled foot you're after, then we have full domed and angled options or we also have a range of Tiltserts which may work better for you.

The head diameter is designed to sit flush with the outside of the tube whilst the shank has flexible horizontal ribs to suit a multitude of tube walls, in a range of both metric and imperial sizes.  Thanks to the flexible lateral ribs running around the shank of the insert, they should be suitable for tube wall thickness of between 1 to 2mm metric (14-20 gauge imperial), unless otherwise stated. 

Manufactured from durable LDPE plastic, they are commonly used as protective end caps, tube feet, and finishing plugs across furniture, fabrication, and light industrial applications. They're designed to retain themselves inside tube, with the head sitting over the outer ends of the tube or pipe, sitting flush with the outside circumference of the tube and providing a neat finished appearance.

What I was looking for. Only one problem, when using live chat an answer was given to a question that did not help,ie about the thickness of the dome. I think the live chat was through a 3rd party as the answer was to look on the website at the catalog.

Thanks for your feedback and our livechat team are in fact employed exclusively by us, so there are no 3rd parties involved - however, because of the current COVID situation, they are all generally having to work from home so some of the infrastructure obviously isn't as good as it would be, when they're based in the office. Saying that though, as with most of our products - this part has a Blue 'View Drawing' button on the product page which gives all the dimensions, including the dome - so there shouldn't be any 'grey' areas, so I'm not sure if you were referred to that but we do try and make that button as prominent as possible, plus of course and again, this is the case with the majority of our products - they're mostly available to 'try before you buy' because there's an Orange 'Request Sample' button on the product page also. Anyway, glad these parts appear to have worked for you and thanks for bearing with our team during these diffcult times, where we try our best to continue to try and conduct business, as normally as possible.
