Counterplate for Glass Doors | 40x25mm

This counterplate is a a type of small strike plate designed to be pushed-fitted over the edge of glass doors (4-6mm thick), where the magnetic touch latch pin/cylinder would otherwise make contact with the door. Consequently, when closing the door, the strike plate pushes the touch latch pin/cylinder back in and locks it in place. The magnetism of both the touch latch and strike plate will subsequently hold the door closed.

To open the door, simply press the outside of the door panel (the strike plate will push the magnetic cylinder in and then release the magnetic catch). The cylinder will then pop out, subsequently pushing the door open a short way and enabling the user to then open the door fully; eliminating the need for handles or doorknobs.

To fit this strike plate; remove protective backing and attach the foam liner to the glass door. You can then push the strike over the pad.
