80mm Round 'Eclipse' Metal Desk Grommet, 21mm

Solid zamak metal cable ports designed to push fit into 80mm round holes in desks, tables, counter tops and work surfaces, with a top diameter of 88mm and a shank depth of 21.3mm.  Seamlessly manage cables and wires, whilst also tidying up drilled or machined holes.

2-Piece design with a lid that lifts off allowing for easy insertion and passaging of wires and cables.  Comes fully assembled ready to go and and whilst manufacturers will use CNC machines to router a hole for this, we do also supply a range of hole saws and arbors, if you're needing to cut your own holes.

Thanks for your feedback and just looking at this one, I see you've gone for a premium metal grommets, sourced from one of the european factories we use. Incidentally, we do offer less expensive metal grommets that are imported from the far east but they tend to come in straight forward metallic finishes, such as Bright & Matt Chrome, Stainless and Satin Nickel, whereas if you want the Metal Grommet in a Black or White finish, the Eclipse is really the only option. We do offer volume based discounts which you've obviously taken advantage of I can see, but if the order is likely to repeat then please speak to us, as you may well qualify for wholesale trade rates, which will open up a new tier of discounts for you!

Q: HI. Will the insert clip into place? I want to mount these upside down under kitchen cupboards to hide the sockets inside the cupboard. Ideally Id love a wooden grommet that clips inlace if you have one. Cheers

A: Hi Rob, Yes, on the metal ports the lids twist lock into place so they will be fine to use upside down. You will just need to make sure the actual cut-out hole the port will go into isn't too big otherwise this will fall straight out. If you have it cut slightly undersized it should hold into place. A: All of our metal desk grommets are manufactured from zamac (diecast zinc) so in theory it should not be a problem to anodize it, although you'd need to speak to your finishing people about this. From our perspective, these grommets already have a 'finish' on them, so we'd expect that this would need to be 'stripped off' before a new layer is added. If this process if being carried out, then it is probably also advisable to remove the brush or rubber lining from the port hole before treating, to ensure you get a consistent finish. Unfortunately these grommets all arrive with us pre-finished as the component in a raw state wouldn't be practical for us to store, over a period of time. We can produce them specially in a 'raw state' if required but obviously this would be reliant on volume, so in order for us to check with the factory on this then we'd need to know an idea of volume from you?
