30mm Round Ribbed Tube Insert

These 30mm round ribbed tube inserts are designed to provide a clean, secure finish for hollow round tubes and pipes. Thanks to the flexible lateral ribs running around the shank of the insert, they should be suitable for tube wall thickness of between 1 to 2mm metric (14-20 gauge imperial), unless otherwise stated. 

Manufactured from durable LDPE plastic, they are commonly used as protective end caps, tube feet, and finishing plugs across furniture, fabrication, and light industrial applications. They're designed to retain themselves inside tube, with the head sitting over the outer ends of the tube or pipe, sitting flush with the outside circumference of the tube and providing a neat finished appearance.

It was not clear from the description that the fins on the section which pushes into the tube were so inflexible. The description described the plug as being suitable for various tube sizes, I bought the plugs for the cap size and had to cut off most of the finning to fit them as I needed them to be removable.
A good quality product probably let down by me and an unhelpful description.

I've had a look at the spec on this part, and it should really suit a 30mm tube with a 1 to 2mm wall, so we'd expect that to fit in an internal hole diameter of between 26 and 28mm approx.

These ribbed inserts are all generally made from LDPE (Low Density Polyethylene), although you do find that certain tools run in different grades, which can make the insert seem tougher but saying that, they should still suit the tube they're designed for.

We do have different inserts which may suit your application better possibly and you can order free of charge samples online if you want to try before you buy. In particular, there's an insert listed to suit the same Outside Diameter of 30mm, so as long as the head is lining up with the outside of the tube ok, then this may be worth trying - as the ribs are going to be smaller?
