Initial lead time on these is 4-12 weeks because it's a developing range but the plan is to gauge demand and then stock the popular lines, meaning subsequent orders are likely to be from stock.  Product will be shipped over in containers and as they're being custom made, we have the flexibility to manufacture to your specifications.

Knurled Flange Nuts and Screws, also known as Thumb Screws, Thumb Nuts, Knurled ThumbNuts, ThumbWheels & Studding Connectors.  Manufactured from Stainless Steel 304 / A2, the range is manufactured to DIN 464, DIN 465, DIN 466, DIN 467 & DIN 6334 specifications.

Our Thumb Screws feature a knurled cylindrical head, and are designed to be easily adjusted by hand, giving users the ability to precisely adjust, without the need for tools.  We can custom manufacture subject to certain MOQ's but standard options come with an unthreaded section below the head for captivation and in a range of sizes from M2 to M10 and with a Male or Female Thread.

Knurled Thumb nuts are widely used across numerous industry sectors, including:

  • Industrial Machinery: for fastening panels, covers, and assemblies that require regular and accurate manual adjustments.
  • Automotive Engineering: for vehicle interiors and engine compartments for fastening, where swift and hassle free modifications are required.
  • Catering & Hydraulic Environments: for any situation where adjustment needs to be preserved and protected from water ingress.
  • Electronics & Electrical Systems: for safe and accessible securing of electronic enclosures and control panels.
  • DIY & Custom Projects: for hobbyists and professionals looking for reliable, tool-free fastening.
A2 stainless steel, also known as 304 stainless steel, is an austenitic steel known for its good corrosion resistance and formability.  It contains approximately 18% chromium and 8% nickel, which contribute to its resistance against rust and oxidation. A2 stainless steel is commonly used in various applications, including kitchen equipment, food processing, and automotive parts.

Here's a more detailed breakdown of its characteristics:
Corrosion Resistance:
  • A2 stainless steel offers good corrosion resistance in many environments.

  • It is particularly resistant to foodstuffs, sterilizing solutions, most organic chemicals, and dyestuffs.

  • However, it may not be suitable for highly saline or chloride-rich environments.

Mechanical Properties:
  • A2 stainless steel has good tensile strength and can withstand significant loads.

  • It is easily formable and weldable, allowing for a wide range of manufacturing processes.

  • It exhibits good ductility, enabling it to be shaped without fracturing.

Other Properties:
  • A2 stainless steel is non-magnetic.

  • It is often used in the food and beverage industry due to its hygienic properties.

  • It can be found in fasteners, kitchen equipment, and automotive parts.

  • While it has good high-temperature resistance, it is not ideal for extremely high-temperature applications.
