5 Ways you can benefit from printing or embossing your custom injection moulding component

Recently, we’ve posted a series of blogs looking at custom injection moulding. We’ve looked at what injection moulding is and the plastics most commonly used for injection moulding,  and now it’s time to look in depth at one of the key advantages to having components created for you using the injection moulding process: branding.

When you choose BPF Online to custom mould your components and parts, you can choose to have your brand logo or something else printed or embossed onto it. So, what would you choose to have featured? And what are the benefits of going to this extra effort when moulding components?

Here are just a few of the things you could use this capability for and how it could benefit your product or brand.

  1. Create a more premium product – embossing or printing your company logo on your components can make a product look more premium if it’s done properly and looks good. This also serves as a reminder for those who may wish to purchase additional components, replacements or add-ons further down the road as to where to buy them from.
  2. Enhance awareness of your brand – this is particularly useful if you use a number of different resellers and want to remind your consumer of the brand that they have purchased.
  3. You may choose to have some kind of fabrication guide or instruction printed or embossed to help the user to orientate the product for assembly. This will make building or installing the component easier and will likely lead to greater ease of use and customer satisfaction.
  4. You may choose to have operating instructions embossed or printed on your custom moulded parts. This can be really helpful if operation or dismantling can be difficult or where there are several steps to the process. Printing a simple diagram or instruction such as ‘lift’ or some arrows to represent a twisting motion, can be extremely useful and can make a product easier and therefore more enjoyable to use.
  5. Sustainability – you can choose to have recycling instructions embossed on the injection moulded component. This tells your end users that you care about sustainability, but it does something much more important than that: it encourages them to recycle and reuse where possible too.

If you have any specific ideas about what you would like to print or have embossed on your plastic custom moulded components, chat with one of helpful advisors on our online chat. They will be able to answer any questions you may have on the injection moulding process and advise as to how you can create the product you need using injection moulding.
